Fulfilling a dream

This is a post about a teapot.

When I was a little girl, my aunt had a pot I loved. It looked Chinese, with a bamboo handle, and matching cups. It was gorgeous.

But then I saw a cast iron teapot and I was lost. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I have coveted one of those teapots for a VERY long time.

And this week I saw one I had eyed for a long time. It was discounted! I bought it straight away.

It is gorgeous, blue/grey and comfortingly heavy. I have it on my altar in the office now, and it belongs there.

I can have a small tea ritual every morning, and then start my working day. It’s perfect.

Goes to show that aiming to live a simple life doesn’t mean doing without stuff.

It means surrounding yourself with something that brings you joy. And this pot, oh my gosh, it brings me joy.

And then some.
